There are two eclipses in Kartik!
One on the next day of Deepawali, the other on Kartiki Purnima

There are eclipses on the new moon and full moon of Kartik month. On October 25, 2022, there will be a solar eclipse on Kartik Amavasya and on November 08, 2022, there will be a lunar eclipse on Kartik Purnima. The Khandagras solar eclipse, which will happen on October 25, the day after Diwali, will be from 14:29 to 18:32. It will be visible in India and will be afflicted, that is, the sun will set before the end of the eclipse. Apart from India, this eclipse will be visible in countries like Europe, Middle-East, North Africa, West Asia etc.
It will be visible almost all over India except Andaman and Nicobar Islands and some areas of North-East (Imphal, Itanagar, Dibrugarh, Kohima, Silchar etc.). Its Sutakkal will start from 02:29 am, but in India this eclipse will be visible from 14:15 am, so most of the Panchangkars are of the opinion that the Sutakkal should be determined on the basis of visible duration in India. Therefore, Sutak will start in India from 04:15 in the morning. Because it is prone to eclipse. Therefore, it will be considered as a festival only till sunset. Bathing, worship etc. can be done after sunset, but there is a law to take food etc. after sunrise the next day.
Solar eclipse is happening in Libra and Swati constellation. As a result, this eclipse will be more inauspicious for the people of this zodiac and constellation. Apart from this, this eclipse is also not auspicious for the people of Aries, Gemini, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Aquarius and Pisces.
The Khagras lunar eclipse on Kartik Purnima will be on November 08, 2022 from 14:39 to 18:19. This lunar eclipse will occur in India, that is, during the eclipse itself, there will be moonrise in all areas of India. Due to the rise of the lunar eclipse, its Sutak will start from sunrise in the morning.
Lunar eclipse is happening in Aries and Bharani Nakshatra. As a result, this eclipse is inauspicious for the people of this zodiac and constellation. Apart from this, this eclipse is also not auspicious for the people of Taurus, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Sagittarius, Capricorn and Pisces.
According to Medini astrology, having two eclipses in a month is considered inauspicious. This cannot be said to be auspicious not only for the common man but also for the politicians sitting in the ruling party.

कार्तिक में हैं दो ग्रहण!
एक दीपावली के अगले दिन, तो दूसरा कार्तिकी पूर्णिमा पर
कार्तिक मास की अमावस्या एवं पूर्णिमा पर ग्रहण पड़ रहे हैं। 25 अक्टूबर, 2022 को कार्तिक अमावस्या पर सूर्यग्रहण तथा 08 नवम्बर, 2022 को कार्तिक पूर्णिमा पर चन्द्रग्रहण होगा। दीपावली के अगले दिन 25 अक्टूबर को होने वाला खण्डग्रास सूर्यग्रहण 14:29 से 18:32 बजे तक रहेगा। यह भारत में दृश्य होगा और ग्रस्तास्त होगा अर्थात् ग्रहण की समाप्ति से पूर्व ही सूर्य अस्त हो जाएगा। भारत के अलावा यह ग्रहण यूरोप, मध्य-पूर्व, उत्तरी अफ्रीका, पश्चिमी एशिया आदि देशों में दिखाई देगा। 
भारत में अण्डमान और निकोबार द्वीप समूह तथा उत्तर-पूर्व के कुछ क्षेत्रों (इम्फाल, ईटानगर, डिब्रूगढ़, कोहिमा, सिलचर आदि) को छोड़कर प्राय: पूरे भारत में यह दिखाई देगा। इसका सूतककाल प्रात: 02:29 बजे से आरम्भ होगा, परन्तु भारत में यह ग्रहण 14:15 बजे से दिखाई देगा, इसलिए अधिकतर पंचांगकारों का मत है कि सूतककाल का निर्धारण भारत में दृश्यावधि के आधार पर किया जाना चाहिए। इसलिए भारत में सूतक का आरम्भ प्रात: 04:15 बजे से होगा। चूँकि यह ग्रहण ग्रस्तास्त है। इसलिए सूर्यास्त तक ही इसका पर्वकाल माना जाएगा। स्नान, पूजा आदि सूर्यास्त के बाद किए जा सकेंगे, परन्तु भोजन आदि का ग्रहण अगले दिन सूर्योदय के पश्चात् किए जाने का विधान है। 
सूर्यग्रहण तुला राशि एवं स्वाती नक्षत्र में घटित हो रहा है। फलत: इस राशि एवं नक्षत्र वालों के लिए यह ग्रहण अधिक अशुभ फलप्रद रहेगा। इसके अतिरिक्त मेष, मिथुन, कर्क, कन्या, वृश्चिक, कुम्भ एवं मीन राशि वाले जातकों के लिए भी यह ग्रहण शुभ नहीं है। 
कार्तिक पूर्णिमा पर खग्रास चन्द्रग्रहण 08 नवम्बर, 2022 को 14:39 बजे से 18:19 बजे तक रहेगा। यह चन्द्रग्रहण भारत में ग्रस्तोदय होगा अर्थात् ग्रहण के दौरान ही भारत के सभी क्षेत्रों में चन्द्रोदय होगा। चन्द्रग्रहण ग्रस्तोदय होने के कारण इसका सूतक प्रात: सूर्योदय से ही आरम्भ हो जाएगा। 
चन्द्रग्रहण मेष राशि एवं भरणी नक्षत्र में घटित हो रहा है। फलत: इस राशि और नक्षत्र वालों के लिए यह ग्रहण अशुभ फलप्रद है। इसके अतिरिक्त वृषभ, सिंह, कन्या, तुला, धनु, मकर एवं मीन राशि वालों के लिए भी यह ग्रहण शुभ फलप्रद नहीं है। 
मेदिनी ज्योतिष के अनुसार एक मास में दो ग्रहणों का होना अशुभ फलप्रद माना जाता है। यह न केवल आमजन के लिए वरन् सत्तापक्ष में बैठे राजनेताओं के लिए भी शुभ नहीं कहा जा सकता है।
