Apara Ekadashi Fast (May 15-16, 2023)

Ekadashi of Jyestha Krishna Paksha is known as Apara Ekadashi. Immense sins are also removed by fasting on this Ekadashi. It has been said in the Brahmanda Purana that those who do not treat the poor by being a doctor, do not teach orphan children by being a scholar of shatshastra (Six Sciences), do not do welfare of the poor people by being a king, do not save the weak and handicapped from trouble by being strong and become rich and fall into trouble. They do not help the families, they are eligible to go to hell, but by fasting on Apara Ekadashi, such people can stay away from sins and go to Vaikuntha Dham. To observe Ekadashi fast, one should take a resolution after taking bath early in the morning and keep fast and pass Dwadashi.
