Guru Purnima

(July 13, 2022)
On the full moon day of Ashadh Shukla Paksha, Krishna Dvaipayana Ved Vyasa appeared. He is the real incarnation of Narayan. Due to Krishna Varna, being born on the islands of Yamuna and codifying the Chaturvedas, he was named Krishnadvaipayana Vedavyasa. Apart from the Chaturvedas, he wrote 18 Puranas, Upa Puranas, Mahabharata, Vyasa Samhita etc. Vedavyasji is immortal. The birthday of Ved Vyas ji is also celebrated as Gurupurnima. The disciples should worship their Guru with devotion and offer Guru Dakshina to him. This is a special occasion to receive the grace of the Guru. This festival is celebrated with reverence in all sects like Vaishnava, Shaivite, Shakta etc.
