Apart from Kartik Krishna Chaturdashi, Chaitra Shukla Purnima is also celebrated as Hanuman Jayanti. Hanuman devotees should get involved in celebrating Jayanti a day before. A day before the fast, the fasting person should not eat in the evening and should prepare for the fast with remembering the names of Ram-Sita-Lakshman and Hanuman. He should sleep on the earth, following the vow of complete celibacy. On the second day, after take bath in the morning, one should take a vow of fasting and celebration:

मम अखिल अनिष्टनिवारणपूर्वक सकल अभीष्ट सिद्धये तेजोबल-बुद्धि-विद्या-धन-धान्य-समृद्धि-आयु-आरोग्य वृद्धये च हनुमद व्रतं तत् अंगीभूत पूजनं च करिष्ये।।

After that, worshiping Sita-Ram-Lakshman and worshiping Hanuman ji should be done. Red clothes, Yellow clothes, Saffron-infused sandalwood, Moonj's Yagyopaveet, Hazara, Kaner or other Yellow flowers, Pua, Banana, Laddus etc. must be present in the worship. After that, the stories related to the Hanuman ji should be heard, name Mantra chanting or Sundarkand of Ramcharit Manas should be recited. On this day the fasting should be observed and should observe complete celibacy.
