Hera Panchami is celebrated on Ashadh Shukla Panchami. This year it is being celebrated on 4th July. It falls on the fifth day of the Rath Yatra. This festival is especially celebrated in Odisha. The festival of Hera Panchami is celebrated during the Rathotsava in Puri. On this day Lakshmi ji goes to Gundicha Kshetra in anger and returns to Shrimandir after harming the chariot while returning via Heragauhari Sai.
