Satyanarayan Vrat

Satyanarayan Vrat is observed on the full moon day of every month. Jyeshthi Purnima is falling on 04th of this month. A fast is observed for Lord Satyanarayana on this day. On this day, the fasting person should retire from the bath and take a pledge to perform Satyanarayan Vrat. After that a red or yellow silk cloth should be spread on a post and mandals should be established on it. An octagonal lotus should be made in the middle and an idol of Lord Vishnu should be installed on it. After that one should properly worship Lord Vishnu along with Ganeshambika and Grahadi and listen to Satyanarayan Vrat Katha. After this, chanting Harinam, Havan, Brahmin food should be done as per the capacity.
