Ramanujacharya ji was the first saint of the Bhakti movement. They were born in Tirupati in the 12th century. His father's name was Keshav and Mother's name was Kantimati. These were followers of Vaishnav religion. His guru was Yamunacharya and due to his influence, he became a Sanyasi.He rendered 'Vishishtaadvaitavaad'. According to this, God is powerful and from him the world originates. He is the creator, maintainer and destroyer of the world. The world is true. The soul and the world are different forms of God. The soul can attain God through devotion.
According to Ramanujacharya ji, people of lower castes can attain salvation through devotion. Thus he was the first saint, who considered the Shudras as the right to attain salvation. Ramanuja allowed Shudras to enter temples once a year. He founded the 'Sri Sampradaya'.
