Shriram-Janki Marriage

Lord Shri Ram and Janakiputri Janaki ji (Sitaji) were married on the fifth day of Shukla Paksha of Margashirsha month. It has been beautifully described by the great poet Goswami Tulsidas ji in Shri Ramcharitmanas. It is also celebrated as 'Vivah Panchami'. This day is considered very auspicious among the Hindus. On this day, fasting and worshiping Lord Shri Ram and Mata Janaki leads to a happy married life. There is happiness and prosperity in the family. Along with this, the story of the marriage of Ram-Janaki should be recited in the worship on this day. By doing this the obstacles in marriage are removed and a happy married life is attained. Happiness and prosperity reside in the family.

श्रीराम-जानकी विवाह

मार्गशीर्ष मास की शुक्लपक्ष की पंचमी को भगवान् श्रीराम और जनकपुत्री जानकी जी (सीताजी) का विवाह हुआ था। इसका वर्णन श्रीरामचरितमानस में महाकवि गोस्वामी तुलसीदास जी ने बड़ी सुन्दरता से किया है। इसे ‘विवाह पंचमी’ के रूप में भी मनाया जाता है। इस दिन को हिंदू धर्मावलंबियों में बहुत शुभ माना जाता है। इस दिन प्रभु श्री राम और माता जानकी का व्रत और पूजन करने से सुखी वैवाहिक जीवन की प्राप्ति होती है। परिवार में सुख और समृद्धि आती है। इसके साथ ही इस दिन पूजन में राम-जानकी के विवाह की कथा का पाठ करना चाहिए। ऐसा करने से विवाह में आने वाली बाधाएँ दूर होती हैं और सुखी वैवाहिक जीवन की प्राप्ति होती है। परिवार में सुख-समृद्धि का निवास होता है।
