Worship of Goddess Katyayani on the sixth day of Navratri

According to the scriptures, Katyayani Devi is worshiped in the sixth form of Mother Durga on the sixth day of Navratri. On that day the mind of the seeker is situated in the circle of oblivion. Goddess Katyayani is the daughter of sage Katyayana. According to the Puranas, there was a famous Maharishi named Kat. Katya's son was Katya. The sage who was born in the gotra of Katya became Katyayan. These Katyayan sages did penance to Bhagwati Paramba with the belief that you should be born as a daughter in my house. Katyayani Devi appeared at Maharishi Katyayan's ashram to fulfill the work of the gods and to fulfill the spirit of Bhagwati Rishi and Maharishi considered her as his daughter. That's why she was named 'Katyayani'.
Katyayani is the sixth form of Maa Durga. Whatever happens and comes in front of us, which we call 'prapancha'. It is not limited to just visible. That which is invisible and which cannot be felt by the senses. He is much more than we can imagine and even comprehend. Divine Mother Katyayani has jurisdiction over the subtle world which is invisible and latent. Katyayani represents the deepest and most complex mysteries of divinity.

नवरात्र में छठे दिन देवी कात्यायनी का पूजन

शास्त्रों के अनुसार नवरात्र के छठे दिन माता दुर्गा के छठे रूप में कात्यायनी देवी की पूजा की जाती है। उस दिन साधक का मन आज्ञाचक्र में स्थित होता है। देवी कात्यायनी कात्यायन ॠषि की पुत्री हैं। पुराणों के अनुसार कत नामक एक प्रसिद्ध महर्षि थे। कत का पुत्र कात्य हुए। कात्य के गोत्र में जन्म लेने वाले ॠषि कात्यायन हुए। इन कात्यायन ॠषि ने इस धारणा से भगवती पराम्बा की तपस्या की कि आप मेरे घर में पुत्री रूप में जन्म लें। कात्यायनी देवी ने देवताओं का कार्य सिद्ध करने के लिए और भगवती ॠषि की भावना की पूर्णता के लिये देवी महर्षि कात्यायन के आश्रम पर प्रकट हुई और महर्षि ने उन्हें अपनी कन्या माना। इसलिये इनका नाम ‘कात्यायनी’ पड़ा।
माँ दुर्गा का छठा रूप कात्यायनी है। हमारे सामने जो कुछ भी घटित होता है और सामने आता है, जिसे हम ‘प्रपंच’ कहते हैं। वह केवल दिखाई देने तक सीमित नहीं है। वह जो अदृश्य है और जिसे इन्द्रियों द्वारा अनुभव नहीं किया जा सकता है। वह उससे भी कहीं अधिक है जितना हम कल्पना कर सकते हैं और समझ भी सकते हैं। सूक्ष्म दुनिया जो अदृश्य और अव्यक्त है, उस सभी पर दिव्य माता कात्यायनी का अधिकार क्षेत्र है। कात्यायनी दिव्यता के गहरे और सबसे जटिल रहस्यों का प्रतिनिधित्व करती हैं।
