According to Shrimad Devi Bhagwat Mahapuran, the Twelve Adityas (Sun) are pleased by wearing a twelve-faced Rudraksha in the ear. The one who wears it gets results similar to the Ashwamedha Yagya and is not afraid of horned animals, lions etc. violent animals and armed enemies. Also, he does not suffer physical and mental pain. He did not have any kind of disease. He remains always happy and full of opulence. One gets freedom from the sin of killing a soul. It is also considered as the form of Mahavishnu. He is fed by the grace of God.
